The level 2 Gym Instructor qualification will provide you with the skills and knowledge required for a role in the Health and Fitness industry.  You can develop your career in this industry by using this as an entry point for other qualifications at levels 2, 3 and 4 as well as CPD courses with XPRO Training.  

This qualification covers the requirements of the Mandatory Technical Certificate in the Active Leisure and Learning Apprenticeship framework.  This qualification is an introduction to the Active Learning and Leisure Sector.  The syllabus covers the sector and its various sub-sectors, career opportunities, employers’ rights and responsibilities and the impact of public law

The level 2 course in Teaching Physical Activity to Children is available for those working with children under 5 years.  There is also a similar course for those who are to work with children 5 – 11 years.  It is also possible to combine these courses for those who wish to cover the age range  under 5 up to 11 years.   These are excellent courses for anyone who wishes to qualify to a professionally competent level.

Physical activity could be for groups or individuals.  The sessions could include introducing a sport or activity, offer fun and enjoyable recreational activities, develop social skills and help children grow as individuals.

The course is useful for people currently providing exercise for children or may anyone interested in working with children in the future.  This is a popular course for staff in leisure centres, fitness centres, schools etc.

The level 2 circuit instructor course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to be professionally qualified to instruct circuit training.

Group exercise classes are increasingly popular and this qualification will provide an extremely useful string to your bow in developing your career in the Health and Fitness industry.
