Q. WHY XPRO TRAINING?
XPRO provides students with nationally accredited qualifications. All courses involve home study followed by a few days course delivery by our expert tutors. These course days will incorporate theory and practical workshops as well as theory and practical assessments.

Dates will be agreed for coursework to be submitted and telephone appointments will be made to enable your tutor to give you feedback on your progress. You are free to contact your tutor at any time via e-mail or telephone at any time so that you can have absolute confidence in being fully supported in your learning.

Q. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF DISTANCE LEARNING?

Many people today lead extremely busy lives and don't have the luxury of spending time on full time courses. At XPRO we understand this and help you throughout the entire process culminating in a few days course attendance once your coursework has been completed successfully.

Q. WHAT IS ACTIVE IQ?

Active IQ is a Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) approved awarding body, which certifies courses in the active leisure industry. These certifications act as a benchmark for quality and credibility both for those employing XPRO graduates and also for those wishing to join the industry. Q. HOW DO I PAY FOR THE COURSE?

To enrol on any XPRO course you will be required to complete one of our registration forms either on line or by post and pay a minimum 10% deposit.

Full payment must then be made within 4 weeks of the assessment days.

Q. WHAT IS THE REGISTER OF EXERCISE PROFESSIONALS (REPS)?

REPS are an independent public Register, which recognises the qualifications and expertise of health enhancing exercise instructors in the UK. One of its key functions is to provide a system of regulation for instructors and trainers to ensure that they meet the health and fitness industry's agreed national occupational standards.

Q. DO I NEED A CPR CERTIFICATE BEFORE ENROLLING ON AN XPRO COURSE?

No

Q. IF I DO NOT PASS MY COURSE WHAT HAPPENS?

XPRO students will have further opportunities to pass their assessments, although an additional fee is usually charged. However you will be given further support to achieve your goals so that you can have real confidence in passing your course even if you do not manage it first time.

Q. CAN I TRANSFER MY ASSESSMENT DATES IF I DON'T FEEL READY?

Assessments and course days can be deferred if necessary (see XPRO terms and conditions). However your preparation for the course will be first class due to the vast knowledge, experience and understanding of all XPRO staff.


Q. ON COMPLETION OF AN XPRO COURSE, WHAT SALARY COULD I ATTAIN IN THE FITNESS INDUSTRY?

Dependent on what sector you are in salaries can fluctuate. A freelance personal trainer can charge between £20 - £100 per hour dependent on experience and location. In demand and celebrity trainers can earn anything between £30,000 - £80,000 per year.

A sports masseur/ masseuse can charge between £25 -£50 per treatment.

Fitness instructors working within within one of the health and fitness club chains can earn a salary of £10,000- £30,000 per year again depending on experience and promotion within to a higher role within the company i.e. fitness supervisor or manager.
